Now those are plates I could use, quite happily. A step back from my late step-brother (a chef who retreated to Wales to live a different kind of life) who regularly served up Rook pie on the rare occasions when he had guests.

Crow pie is presumably the polar opposite of humble pie.I have eaten crocodile, and it doesn’t taste like chicken - more like not very nice fish.
