Calling All Angels
Police were called to investigate reports of an angelic manifestation at a Brighton bus stop, just outside the Royal Pavilion. By the time they'd arrived and managed to cross the road, however, there was just a single elderly lady in the shelter.
What happened next is a short story which you can make up to your own satisfaction. You're welcome! Don't send it to me, though, thanks all the same.

Location for a Wim Wenders sequel perhaps ?
ReplyDeleteYes, indeed, or possibly Z-Cars, if you're old enough to remember that ("Now then, gran, what's all this nonsense?"), or even the X Files or Dr. Who...

Bungling cops were lambasted last week for letting a member of the notorious Heavenly Host slip away after a sharp-eyed member of the public reported an indecent wing display at a bus-stop in Brighton. Top cop, Sir Neville Knacker of Brighton and Hove Constabulary defended his men, pointing out the lack of aerial resources available to his force. He added that a number of cherubim had been rounded up only the week before after they were seen hanging around some shops.
