Partial Eclipse

The sun rose over the UK today in partial eclipse. You could tell something odd was going on by the eerie pink and grey light at 8:00 a.m. as I pulled in to the car park.

To get the best view of the sunrise, I went up to the very top floor of the library, only to discover that the rising sun was totally eclipsed by the Chemistry block. Doh! The light was worth photographing, though.

That is not a UFO, btw -- it's a light fitting reflected in the window.

  1. Glad someone was on the ball, Mike. The skies were extra special yesterday morning, and who forgot to pack the camera? I did. Schoolboy error.

    It's even better this morning.
